Abstract

In 1637 the historian Diego de Colmenares included in his Historia de la insigne ciudad de the celebration in 1303 of a diocesan synod in the cathedral of Segovia by the bishop Fernando Sarracin. From the mentioned book, the existence of this synod was publishing till now in historical studies and documentary repertoires. The aim of this article is to demonstrate that the synod of 1303 was never celebrated and its existence is just a wrong elucidation of Colmenares, and it has not been absolutely explained till now.

Highlights

Summary
