Abstract
“THE SNOWMAN”, is a short story that narrates the circumstances of a common man dragged by the ideals of ongoing independence and his wife who accompanies him in the turbulent times of a yearned for change that is never more than a reasonable uncertainty. The TTe Crl Carlos Freyre masterfully links historical events with the figure of a characteristic character of Viceroyalty Lima who refuses to be forgotten: The Snowman.
