Abstract

This article –placed within the consideration of the truth of human love– particularly concentrates on the truth of conjugal love from the perspective of procreation, which is an exceedingly relevant matter then and now. For this reason, this article, following Humanae vitae’s exposition, seeks to give a response that transcends the circumstances in which the encyclical was written. This objective justifies the article’s structure: it examines the ethical question of the moral truth of procreation (II); the development of natural methods (III); truth, moral law, and conscience (IV); and conscience and prudence (V).
