Abstract
This article proposed to analyze in depth the reasons that Brazil currently leads theresumption of negotiations between Mercosur and European Union. Furthermore, in orderto show the domestic sectors and economic corporations that promote this association, theposition of the government offices and finally, the stresses present in Brazil’s internationalstrategy and the process of regional integration in South America.
