Abstract
The Hindemith Institute Frankfurt is the main research center devoted to the life and work of Paul Hindemith. It is supported by the Fondation Hindemith, Blonay (Switzerland), which was founded as the lawful successor of the childless couple Gertrud and Paul Hindemith. The Hindemith Institute Frankfurt maintains the musicologically relevant estate of the composer and makes it accessible for research purposes. Among the research areas assigned to the Hindemith Institute Frankfurt are the complete edition of Hindemith’s works as well as the publication of the Hindemith-Jahrbuch.
