Abstract

At first the estate consisted of 34 folders, which Ruth C. Cohn and Helga Herrmann recorded in an initial »inventory« and sent to Inghard Langer at the University of Hamburg. To date, Michaela and Matthias Scharer have registered 346 folders in the archive at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where Ruth C. Cohn’s estate is now archived. This required a mammoth effort on the part of the Scharers in the period from 2016 to 2022. In this interview, they talk about working on the archive, how their view of Ruth Cohn has broadened and changed, what sort of research might be worthwhile, and why Ruth Cohn has much to say to young people.
