Abstract
This research is taken from a manuscript of Ibn Katheer al-Dimashqi in the recitation of the Qur’an, in which I studied the chapter on “Al-Madoud”, and the research is divided into six issues: The first issue: the separate extension and its conditions if the hamza is in one or two words. The second issue: extending the syllable letters in the beginning of the surah. The third issue: the extension with the consonant letter. The fourth issue: the madd if the hamza is plucked, and after the hamza is a letter of the madd. The fifth issue: the changing extension. The sixth issue: Extending the softness and its conditions according to the arrival of the hamza after it. Then followed by a conclusion, and the most important sources
