Abstract
ABSTRACT In the field of array processing, the distributed source model can describe more characteristics of a target. Aiming at direction-of-arrival (DOA) tracking of two-dimensional incoherently distributed (TDID) sources, the generalised signal vector (GSV) and generalised array manifold (GAM) matrices of a double parallel linear array (DPLA) are first established. By the rotation relations of GAM matrices, the closed solutions of DOA and angular spread are derived. Then, treating the estimated value as the measurement under the Kalman filter framework, an adaptive DOA tracking algorithm for TDID sources is presented. Finally, the simulation results show that the proposed method can track DOA without spectral search and angles matching and is suitable for multi-source cases. Compared with the subspace updating methods, this method has better tracking accuracy and robustness in the case of model mismatch.
