Abstract

The design and implementation of a device used for Raman-scattering experiments are reported. This device, namely an optically reflecting bulb, has been found to serve as an efficient collector of light scattered by a sample located at its center. It can be constructed easily and inexpensively and can be used for both room- and low-temperature experiments. A second device which makes use of maximum reflecting surface area and a light pipe is also described.
