Abstract

Two alternative Macro Basis Function (MBF) schemes are compared to the conventional Characteristic Basis Function Method (CBFM), for efficient antenna array analysis. Numerical tests are performed in the context of two-dimensional, transverse magnetic, Method of Moments (MoM) analysis. Experimental results show that higher accuracy can be obtained with the alternative MBF schemes, than with the conventional CBFM, when using the same number of degrees of freedom.
