Abstract
The research results of efficiency of the wastewater sludge applying (WSA) for growing oat for green mass are shown. The main WSA applying rates are defined. It was established that the WSA applying contributes to the positive tendency to increase the main nutrient elements in sod-podzolic sandy soils, to improve the crop yield and to reduce the heavy metals accumulation in the soil and cultivated products. The expediency of WSA applying as fertilizers for the local raw material resource is grounded, taking into account practicality, efficiency and environmental friendliness.
