Abstract

[Objective] To investigate the effects of telmisartan combined with atorvastatin calcium on cerebral infarction patients complicated with coronary heart disease.[Methods] Seventy-six cases of cerebral infarction with coronary artery disease in our hospital were divided into two groups,the control group and the treatment group.The patients in control group were given conventional treatment,the patients in treatment group were given telmisartan and atorvastatin calcium that based on the control group,both groups need 4 weeks for a course of treatment,and then they were compared by the effects.[Results] The effect of cerebral infarction,neurological deficit scores,activities of daily living(ADL),left ventricular function,angina frequency,C-reactive protein in the treatment group were significantly better than those in the control group(P < 0.05).[Conclusions] Telmisartan combined with atorvastatin calcium can significantly promote the recovery of neurological function and improve heart function for the patients with cerebral infarction and coronary heart disease,which is worthy of promotion.
