Abstract

Objective In the study, we treated chronic pelvic inflammatory disease by retention enema with self-made sargentgloryvine stem enema decoction combined with external application with dregs of the decoction, the clinical application value and safety were evaluated by analyzing the indexes before and after treatment. Methods A total of 82 patients with chronic pelvic inflammatory disease were enrolled in this study from our hospital from July 2015 to June 2016. The patients were divided into experimental group (n=42) and control group (n=40) according to the randomized double-blind method. The experimental group was treated with retention enema with sargentgloryvine stem enema decoction and hot compress with dregs of the decoction, 1 agent / day; the control group was given conventional western medicine treatment. The scores of TCM symptoms were compared before and after treatment, and the clinical curative effect, recurrence, and adverse reactions were evaluated. Results The score of the experimental group after treatment was significantly lower than that of the control group, with statistically significant difference (P 0.05). Conclusions (1) Chinese medicine decoction oral administration can better improve the symptoms of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, with the exact clinical effect; (2) retention enema with self-made sargentgloryvine stem enema decoction combined with external application with dregs of the decoction is effective in the treatment of chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, with less adverse reactions, has a certain value of promotion.
