Efficacy of budesonide combined with terbutaline sulfate in the treatment of asthmatic bronchopneumonia in children

Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of budesonide combined with terbutaline sulfate in the treatment of asthmatic bronchopneumonia in children. Methods A total of 100 children with asthmatic bronchial pneumonia who were admitted to Yangquan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from May 2017 to October 2018 were randomly divided into control group and combined group, with 50 cases in each group. On the basis of routine treatment, the control group was treated with physiological sodium chloride solution atomization, while the combined group was treated with budesonide combined with oxygen-driven atomization of terbutaline sulfate. Relevant therapeutic indicators, overall therapeutic effect and laboratory indicators were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the time of wheezing disappearance, rhonchi disappearance, rale disapperance, cough relief time, cough score and wheezing score in combined group were (3.04±0.31)d, (4.32±0.47)d, (5.04±0.52)d, (6.18±0.45)d, 1.33±0.44 and 0.20±0.04, respectively, lower than those indexes in control group, which were (4.15±0.37)d, (5.26±0.51)d, (5.70±0.66)d, (7.39±0.60)d, 2.02±0.59 and 0.31±0.10, respectively, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). The total effective rate of combined group (96%) was higher than that of control group (74%), P<0.05. The arterial oxygen saturation of combined group was (95.83±0.77)%, higher than the (94.68±0.84)% of control group (P<0.05). The levels of C-reactive protein and eosinophil count of combined group were (2.01±0.41)mg/L and (0.12±0.04)×109/L, respectively, lower than the (3.15±0.58)mg/L and (0.24±0.10)×109/L of control group, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The efficacy of budesonide combined with terbutaline sulfate in the treatment of asthmatic bronchopneumonia in children is significant, which can be used as reference.
