Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of prednisone combined with imidazolium in the treatment of children with recurrent primary nephrotic syndrome. Methods Fifty-six children with recurrent primary nephrotic syndrome treated in Children’s Hospital Affiliated to Suzhou University from February 2015 to January 2016 were randomly divided into control group (28 cases) and observation group (28 cases). Patients in control group were treated with prednisone alone, and patients in observation group were treated with prednisone combined with imidazole. The remission condition, serum albumin, 24 h urine protein, cholesterol, triglyceride and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed. Results In the remission situation, the total remission rate of observation group was better than of control group (χ2=7.791, P 0.05). Conclusions Prednisone combined with imidazole in the treatment of children with primary nephrotic syndrome has a better clinical effect, which can effectively relieve the disease and improve the quality of life of children.
