Abstract

The photoelectrochemical behaviour of TiO 2 polycrystalline samples, prepared by thermal oxidation, utilized as photosensitive electrodes in PEC cells, has been investigated in the present work with the aim of correlating the oxidation processes parameters with the spectral quantum yield. The obtained results seem to indicate that the thermal treatment at high temperature and short time oxidation has to be preferred if the solar radiation is utilized as illuminating source.
