Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of the combination of ezetimibe and rosuvastatin on coronary atherosclerotic plaques in patients with coronary heart disease by coronary angiongraphy. Methods A total of 105 patients diagnosed by coronary angiography were studied and randomly divided into control group (rosuvastatin 10 mg,n =35),rosavastatin group (rosuvastatin group 20 mg,n =35) and combined treatment group (ezetimibe 10 mg,rosuvastatin 10 mg,n =35).They were treated for 12 months. The changes of blood-lipids and the degree of coronary artery stenosis were compared after 12 months of treatment. Results Compared with those before treatment, the levels of low-density lipo (LDL-C),total cholesterol (TC) and triglycer-ide (TG) in all groups deceased after treatment (P <0.05).The levels of LDL-C,TC and TG decreased significantly in the combined treatment group. At the same time, the change of stenosis degree was the biggest (P < 0.05).Conclusions Ezetimibe combined with rosuvastatin can reverse the progress of coronary atherosclerotic plaque, reduce the degree of cororary artery stenosis, and the degree of LDL-decreasing level is positively correlated with the return degree of coronary artery stenosis. Key words: Rosuvastatin; Ezetimibe; Coronary atherosclerotic plaque; Low density lipoprotein cholesterol
