Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of postoperative diet intervention on nutritive indexes and functional recovery in patients with frontal lobe glioma. Methods A total of 72 patients with frontal lobe glioma treated in Chinese Medicine Hospital in Linyi City from March 2015 to March 2017 were selected and divided into control group and experimental group according to temporal sequence with 36 cases in each group. The patients in the control group was given routine nursing, while the patients in the experimental group received diet intervention on the basis of the control group. Patients' body mass index (BMI) , total protein, transferrin, prealbumin, hemoglobin, functional recovery of the two groups were compared before intervention and 3 months after intervention. Results There was no statistical difference in the nutritional indexes before the intervention (P>0.05) . The nutritional index levels of both groups increased after the intervention (P<0.05) . The total protein, transferrin, prealbumin, hemoglobin, red-cell count and BMI of the experimental group after intervention were higher, compared with the control group (P<0.05) . The rehabilitation status of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group (P<0.05) . Conclusions Dietary intervention is more conducive to improve the nutritional level of patients with frontal lobe gliomas and the rehabilitation of patients' physical function, and has a wide range of clinical applications.
