Abstract
Based on the theory of positive personality, this study explores the current situation and relationship between positive personality, employability, and social support among students in Chinese private colleges and universities. "Positive Personality Traits of College Students”, "Measurement Questionnaire of College Students' Employability”, and "Scale of Comprehension of Social Support" are three reliable and valid scales that were used as measurement tools in the study. Five private colleges and universities in Guangzhou, China A total of 1395 students collected data for the sample, and SPSS 26.0 was used for descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, correlation analysis, linear regression, and mediation analysis. The results showed that: (1) There is a significant positive correlation between positive personality and employability of Chinese private university students; (2) There is a significant positive correlation between students' employability and social support in private universities in China; (3) The level of social support affects the positive personality of students in private universities in China; (4) Social support has a partial mediating effect on the positive personality and employability of Chinese private college students.
