Abstract

Light is an important signal factor in the environment, which can affect the growth and development, physiological cycle, reproduction and various metabolic activities of fungi. The core substance of fungal light signal sensing is various luminous chromophores such as phytochrome. Phytochrome is a kind of photoreceptor protein which takes pyrrole derivatives as pigment molecules and responds to red and far red light. So far, phytochrome has been identified and found in plants, bacteria and fungi.
