Abstract
In our study, we primarily focused on the effects of m8G on the stability of the two new DNA second-order structures G-quadruplex and especially the G-triplex using the melting temperature results determined by circular dichroism (CD). This study is the first to investigate the stability of both of the structures, which contain more than one m8G. The structure’s stability depends on the structure of DNA and the sites of modified guanines in the DNA sequences. Furthermore, the DNA peroxidase ability of the G-triplex DNA containing different numbers of m8Gs and oxo8Gs was investigated to show that peroxidase activity was associated with the mutation of guanine.
