Abstract

Abstract Two mechanisms of incommensurate phase (IP) creation induced by pseudo-Jahn-Teller and reorienting centers in ferroelectrics and the mechanism of defect concentration superstructure appearing in IP with proper dipole defects are proposed. The new type of order parameter correlation function and the new potential of indirect defect-defect interaction via the soft phonon modes in the vicinity of Lifshitz point are obtained. The nature of spin-lattice relaxation (SLR) anomalies near ferroelectric phase transition (FPT) and local configurational instability induced by soft phonon modes are discussed.
