Abstract

Objective To investigate the curative effect of laparoscopic repair for gastric perforation on acute perforation of stomach and its influence on postoperative quality of life. Methods Sixty-six patients with acute perforation of stomach were selected and divided into two groups according to surgical protocols, with 33 cases in each group. The experimental group received laparoscopic repair for gastric perforation, and the control group underwent open repair for gastric perforation. The related indicators of perioperative period and postoperative complication rate were counted and compared between the two groups. All patients were followed up for 6 months to record the recurrence rate and compare quality of life between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in operation time between the two groups (P>0.05). The intraoperative blood loss in experimental group was less than that in control group, and the time of postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery, ambulation time and discharge time in experimental group were shorter than those in control group (P 0.05). The scores of physiological function, vitality, mental state and postoperative health status in experimental group after operation were higher than those in control group (all P<0.05). Conclusions Laparoscopic repair for gastric perforation on patients with acute perforation of stomach can significantly reduce the amount of intraoperative blood loss and incidence of postoperative complications, conduce to postoperative rehabilitation of patients, reduce the recurrence rate and further improve the quality of life. It is worthy of popularization and application in clinical treatment. Key words: Laparoscopic repair for gastric perforation; Acute perforation of stomach; Quality of life
