Abstract

In this paper we investigate the effects of a special class of discrete Linear Periodic Time Varying (LPTV) filters on stationary signals. Periodic discrete clock changes are applied to a stationary sequence changing x(n) in x(n+f(n) where f(n) is a periodic and bijective function. Such a LPTV is a permutation of the samples of sequence x(n). We study in the paper the power spectral density of the filtered sequence together with the possible application of discrete LPTV to multiple access.
