Abstract
The effects of Cu and P in the Fe84-xSi4B12-yPyCux (x = 0-0.9, y = 0-4) soft magnetic alloys on crystallization processes and magnetic properties were investigated. The apparent activation energy of Fe84Si4B8P4 and Fe83.3Cu0.7Si4B8P4 amorphous alloys are also calculated. The results show that Cu and P additions favor the first crystallization reaction and inhibit the second one of Fe84Si4B12 effectively. The saturation magnetic flux density Bs increases and the coercivity Hc decreases with increasing Cu content in the range of 0-0.9%. The simultaneous additions of Cu and P result in a good combination of high saturation magnetic flux density and low coercivity.
