Abstract

A new Fe-based amorphous soft magnetic alloy with the nominal composition of Fe83P16Cu1 was produced by melt-spinning technology. After annealed at 563K for 120s, the alloy consists of nanosized grains embedded in amorphous matrix. The nanocrystalline soft magnetic alloy shows good soft magnetic properties such as high saturation magnetic flux density 1.65T and low coercivity 8.7A/m. The simple composition together with low crystallization temperature and short annealing time make this soft magnetic alloy a promising candidate for industry use.
