Abstract

Objective To explore effective experimental teaching methods for cultivating clinical capacity of undergraduate nursing students by conducting comprehensive experimental teaching in basic nursing curriculum. Methods Totally 81 undergraduate nursing students of Grade 2011 were selected as the study group, while 209 undergraduate nursing students of Grade 2010 were selected as the control group. Students in the control group received the traditional teaching method, and students in the study group were received the teaching method of comprehensive experimental teaching method. Students′ comprehensive clinical ability in two groups were assessed in the medium-term period. Results The professional attitude of students in the study group was significantly better than that in the control group (P<0.05); the score of professional attitude was (88.03±6.90) in the study group, and was (86.37±5.97) in the control group (t=2.035, P<0.05). Conclusions The comprehensive experimental teaching method could improve students′ clinical capacity to some extent.
