Abstract
Introduction: The Northern Cancer Alliance recommends a 2-week wait cancer pathway for unilateral tonsillar lesion and/or enlargement for assessment of suspected tonsillar malignancy. This is a regional guideline implemented in the North-East England outside of NICE guidance. In this study, we evaluated referrals to our regional unit with unilateral tonsillar lesion and/or enlargement and the effectiveness of this regional 2-week wait criteria.
