Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of online learning and teacher performance on learning outcomes of Islamic education Class VIII at State Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Karawang. This research uses quantitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The independent variables in this study are the effectiveness of online learning and teacher performance. In contrast, the dependent variable is the learning outcomes of class VIII students at State Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Karawang. The population in this study were all students of class VIII State Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Karawang, totalling 160 students. In contrast, the sample in this study amounted to 32 students who were collected using a stratified random sampling method. Data collection techniques in this study used the methods of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. At the same time, the data analysis techniques in this study used the validity test, reliability test, normality test, and partial t-test. Based on the theoretical discussion and analysis of the research data, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) The implementation of online learning in class VIII State Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Karawang was quite effective with a score of 48.6% of the total sample in learning Islamic education; 2) The performance of Islamic education teachers for class VIII at State Madrasah Tsanawiyah 4 Karawang obtained sufficient criteria with a value of 51.4% of the total sample, in online learning the teacher's performance was less than optimal with the results of data calculations showing that the value of Sig = 0.0005 < 0.025 or ttable = 2.00 < tcount = 3.367.
