Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the influence of Morinda citrifolia L. extract on immunity and Survival Rate White Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) infected by Vibrio harveyi bacteria and to find out the best concentration of Morinda citrifolia L. on immunity and Survival Rate White Shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) infected by Vibrio harveyi bacteria. This research was carried out in September - October 2017 at Fisheries Laboratory of University of Muhammadiyah Malang and Environmental Health Laboratory of BPBAP of Water Aquaculture Center of Payau Situbondo. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Noni fruit extract Morinda citrifolia L. against immunity and Survival Rate Vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei), as well as to determine the best concentration of Noni fruit extract Morinda citrifolia L. against Vannamei (Litopanaeus vannamei) were infected with the bacterium Vibrio harveyi, to immunity, syntax and clinical symptoms. The method used in this research is the experimental method and using Completely Randomized Design (RAL). The concentration of noni fruit extract Morinda citrifolia L. is 700 pmm, 900 ppm, 1100 ppm, 1300 ppm and 1500 ppm, there were 5 treatment 1 control and do as much as 3 repetitions. The data obtained were analyzed by variance analysis method (ANAVA) followed by BNT test (The Smallest Real Difference). Results of analysis of variance showed that the use of extracts of noni fruit Morinda citrifolia L. in the treatment of Vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) were infected with the bacterium Vibrio harveyi highly significant effect on immunity and survival rate of white shrimp. Clinical symptoms of post-injection of bacteria include passive movement (limp) and the ability to escape is reduced, approaching aeration (source of dissolved oxygen) body white shrimp looks discolored reddish, foot swimming flushed, telson flushed and hepatopancreas changing the color becomes darker and poor appetite . While White Shrimp prawn shrimp post-treatment with Morinda citrifolia L. fruit extract showed the results are significantly different. Water quality measurements showed temperatures: 29.1 ° C, DO: 7.6 mg /, pH: 8 and salinity: 10 ppt. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the extract of M. citrifolia L. Noni fruit can be used as an alternative natural antibacterial ingredients Vibrio harveyi on White Shrimp with the optimal dosage is 1100 ppm.
