Abstract

Abstract The software package KINDSIP was developed to characterize kinetic and nonlinear dynamic systems. We discuss some of the difficulties encountered in the design of KINDSIP, and propose an effective programming style for developing interactive programs; this approach is generally useful for nonprofessional programmers. Its principles are described along with the user interface and the software organization of KINDSIP.
