Abstract

The electron-electron interaction potential by exchange of virtual interface phonons in a single-heterostructure is studied in the presence and absence of a perpendicular magnetic field. It is shown that the effective potential is different from that of the three-dimensional case and the magnetic field plays an interesting role in changing the strength of the effective potential.
