Abstract

The effective ΛN and ΣN interactions are proposed on the basis of the G-matrices calculated for the Nijmegen OBE model D interaction. They are parametrized by three-range Gaussian forms for the sake of convenience in applying them to various hypernuclear problems. The effective two-body LS and antisymmetric LS interactions are also derived. Single particle energies of some typical Λ hypernuclei such as ^5_ΛHe, ^16, 17_ΛO and ^40, 41_ΛCa are nicely reproduced with the use of our ΛN interaction. The ΣN interaction is complex and its imaginary part is related to ΣΛ convension widths. Qualitative features of single particle energies and widths of Σ states are discussed.
