Abstract
The performance in terms of the signal to interference ratio (SIR) of the users has been analyzed in the synchronous case under random spreading sequences for linear multiuser receivers. We extend these results to the asynchronous case. The receivers considered are the decorrelator and the MMSE receiver. We look at linear receivers which have an infinite-horizon observation interval. The analysis shows that in a system with large processing gain and random spreading sequences, there is no loss of performance due to asynchronicity in both the decorrelator and the MMSE receivers.
