Abstract

The seeds of eight cultivars of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) were divided into two size groups (the first had its seeds trapped in a sieve with holes diameter of 3.41 mm mesh, and the second seeds had trapped in 2.36 mm mesh). Seeds of the eight varieties were planted in plastic pots under greenhouse conditions, and five treatments for zinc (0, 0,3, 0,9, 2,7, 8,1 mg Zn kg−1 soil) and two seed sizes were added to study the combined effect of zinc and wheat variety on Grain content of Zn, Fe, Cu and Mn. The results showed that the addition of zinc led to an increase in the zinc content of grains and a decrease in their content of cupper and manganese at high levels of zinc application While there was no clear effect on iron content.
