Abstract

Objective To compare the clinical effect of two kinds of homogenate catering on enteral nutrition ( EN ) in critically ill patient .Methods Eighty-six critically ill patients were divided into the observation group and the control group according to the odd and even number of hospitalized .The observation group received the nasogastric series of homogenate catering from Lishikang , and the control group received the homogenate catering including rice cereal , lean meat slurry, vegetables pulp, milk, etc.The nutritional status was compared between the two groups .Results After ten days of EN , no differences were found in the levels of Hb, ALB and FBS between the two groups (t=0.34, 0.58, 0.41;P>0.05); the differences were found in the levels of TLC and TP between the two groups (t=2.29, 3.26; P 0.05 ).Conclusions The nasogastric series of homogenate catering from Lishikang is better than the traditional homogenate catering in improving the nutritional status of critically ill patients .
