Abstract
The article focuses on the electrical insulation properties of oil-paper insulation and its application in practice at AC voltage. It also discusses the effect of moisture and thermal ageing on the breakdown strength and breakdown voltage of oil-paper combinations. Measurements are made of the breakdown voltage and breakdown strength of liquid insulators and paper type KREMPEL-DPP, impregnated with two types of oils, SHELL Diala S4 ZX-I and Mogul Trafo CZ-A. The moisture content in the liquid insulants before and after thermal ageing is also measured.
