Abstract
1. The annealing of cast iron powder used in iron-cast iron mixtures has virtually no effect on the compressibility of such mixtures when their cast iron content is under 30% and, consequently, is not recommended. 2. Employing white cast iron powder with an apparent density of 3.8 g/cm3 in iron-cast iron mixtures ensures excellent compressibility at cast iron contents not exceeding 30%. Depending on the compressibility of the iron powder used and the amount of cast iron powder in a mixture, the latter matches or even surpasses the iron powder in compressibility.
