Abstract
This paper explains the process of heat conduction in a nonlinear silicon lattice governed by squared, cubic and quartic on-site potentials along with squared and quartic interaction potentials. The tanh method is employed to construct solutions to the resulting nonlinear equations. The results show the transfer of heat in the form of solitary waves which are presented graphically.
