Abstract
Aim of the study is study and analysis of the dynamics of the carbohydrate metabolism parameters in patients with obesity after sleeve gastrectomy. It has been observed that surgical intervention has led to fast (in the first 3 month of the postoperative period) and stable (during 24 months) improvement or normalization of key parameters of carbohydrate metabolism. Complete stable remission of type 2 diabetes was obtained in 54,5% of patients, partial remission in 45,5%. Parameters of glucose tolerance, insulin and C-peptide was return to normal level in all patients. The duration of this effect requires further clinical observations.
