Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of samet roticanson combined with non-invasive ventilation on acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD) complicated with respiratory failure. Methods From March 2016 to June 2018, 94 patients with COPD at acute exacerbation period complicated with respiratory failure in Bayannur Hospital were selected and divided into control group and experimental group according to random number table method, with 47 cases in each group. The control group was treated with non-invasive ventilation, while the experimental group was treated with salmeterol-fluticasone on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The immune function, lung function and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the levels of CD3+ , CD4+ and CD4+ /CD8+ were all higher in the experimental group than those in the control group, and the level of CD8+ was lower than that in the control group, there were significant differences(P<0.05). The forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1), the percentage of forced expiratory volume in one second (FEV1%) and the ratio of forced expiratory volume and forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC) in the first second were higher in the experimental group than those in the control group, and the differences were significant(P<0.05). No obvious adverse drug reaction occurred in the two groups during treatment. Conclusions Non-invasive ventilation therapy combined with samet roticanson therapy can enhance the body’s immune function and improve the lung function of patients with acute exacerbation of COPD and respiratory failure, with high safety. Key words: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Acute exacerbation period; Respiratory failure; Samet roticanson; Non-invasive ventilation
