Abstract

In this paper, the effects of vertical and rolling motion conditions on high subcooled boiling heat transfer in narrow rectangular channels of natural circulation system are investigated experimentally. To analyze the error of instantaneous heat transfer coefficient better, a calculation error method based on temperature difference is proposed. The results show that the error between the predicted heat transfer coefficient of Yan’s formula and the experimental value is less than 30% under vertical and rolling motion conditions.
