Abstract

The effect of the heating rate and long-term holds in the temperature range of inverse martensitic (α → γ) transformation on the stability of austenite in the cooling of chromium-nickel steel 08Kh15N5D2T is studied. Additional conditions for growth of stable austenite in the structure of the steel (to 60%) are determined. Isothermal diagrams of decomposition of retained austenite at negative temperatures after annealing in the (α + γ) range in different modes are plotted.
