Abstract

Structural and magnetic properties of La 1 . 2 - x Pr x Sr 1 . 8 Mn 2 O 7 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1.2) bilayers manganese oxides have been investigated. Structural characterizations showed that all our synthesized samples crystallize in thetetragonal structure with 14/mmm space group. Magnetization measurements versus temperature showed that all of our samples exhibit a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition with decreasing temperature. The Curie temperature T c decreases with increasing praseodymium content. It is found to decrease from 315 K for x = 0 to 265 K for x = 1.2.
