Abstract

Remanufacturing is an advanced stage in the development of maintenance engineering and surface engineering, which is an important component of sustainable manufacturing. As a significant remanufacturing technology, thermal spraying is an important basis for the development of surface engineering. In this paper, Cr3C2-NiCr coatings with different porosity were prepared by plasma spraying, and their wear behaviour under oil lubrication was studied. The results show that the wear mechanisms of the coatings are different with difference of the porosity. Abrasive wear is the main wear mechanism of the high-porosity coating, while adhesive wear is the main wear mechanism of the low-porosity coating.
