Abstract

Ti1-xNixO2 {0 ≤ x ≤ 0.3} nanoparticles were prepared by sol gel method. Prepared powder and pellets were characterized via X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and impedance analyser. XRD confirmed tetragonal crystal structure and crystalline size was obtained in nanometer which increased with Nickel doping. Density and grain size of the material also increased with Nickel doping. Vibrating sample magnetometer confirms the ferromagnetic behaviour of the as prepared material. Dielectric constant and conductivity of the material both pure and Ni doped increased with frequency and temperature as well as replacement of Titanium atom by Nickel in the material.
