Abstract

Mg0.3Zn0.7NixFe2-xO4 (x=0.0, 0.4, 0.8, 1.2, 1.6) nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel auto combustion method. The obtained powders were double sintered at 850°C and 1100°C successively. The structural investigations were done using X-Ray diffractometer (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM). Magnetic property of these ferrites as a function of Ni concentration was studied using Vibration Sample Magnetometer (VSM). All ferrite samples have low coercive force (Hc) exhibits the soft magnetic properties. The influence of grain size and its effects on domain walls on magnetic properties of ferrites was discussed.
