Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of molybdenum target X-ray and spiral CT on the sensitivity and specificity of early diagnosed breast cancer. Methods Eighty female patients with breast cancer were diagnosed by pathologic diagnosis and received mammography X-ray and spiral CT. The results of molybdenum target X-ray, spiral CT and molybdenum target X-ray combined with spiral CT were compared, and detection rate of lumps, calcified lesions and axillary lymph node metastasis of the 80 patients by using the different methods were statistically analyzed as well. Results Pathological examination showed 76 cases of positive and 4 cases of negative; spiral CT examination showed 67 cases of positive and 13 cases of negative; molybdenum target X-ray examination showed 65 cases of positive and 15 cases of negative, molybdenum target X-ray combined with spiral CT showed 75 cases of positive, 5 cases of negative, there was no significant difference in the molybdenum target X-ray, helical CT and molybdenum target X-ray combined with spiral CT (P>0.05); There was no significant difference in the sensitivity and accuracy between molybdenum target X-ray and helical CT (P>0.05); the sensitivity and accuracy of molybdenum target X-ray and spiral CT were significantly lower than those of molybdenum target X-ray combined with spiral CT (P 0.05); Compared with spiral CT, the detection rate of mass, calcified lesions in 80 patients was higher by molybdenum target X-ray examination, and the difference was significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Spiral CT combined with mammography X-ray examination can improve the sensitivity and accuracy of breast cancer early diagnosis and provide strong support for the early treatment of breast cancer.
