Abstract

The results of hardening the surface of chromium-nickel steel 12Kh18N9Т by the method of non-vacuum electron-beam processing are presented in this research paper. As a result, a molybdenum-containing layer with 2 mm thickness was formed. The creation of surface layers of this composition allow to increase microhardness by 2.25 times, wear resistance by 1.7 times in comparison with unhardened steel.
