Abstract

High density polyethylene (HDPE) samples specially selected with M w = (66–290) × 10 3 and polydispersion (2–50) were used to examine the dependence of film strength on elongation. The rate of strength increase with elongation depends on W w for polydispersed samples. Optimum values of M w and polydispersion were found to ensure a film strength of 3 GPa.
